Le Penseur Construction seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. As a Handy Man, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our properties. This is a hands-on role that requires strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Core Duties:

Inspect properties to document condition and itemize needed repairs.

Perform general maintenance and repairs including light plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, etc.

Diagnose, repair, and install appliances.

Inspect and replace smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors as required.

Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and time logged for accurate billing.

Coordinate closely with coordinator to optimize resource efficiency.

Maintain company vehicle, parts, and inventory.

- Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and drywall installation
- Install and repair fixtures, appliances, and equipment
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects in a timely manner
- Keep accurate records of maintenance performed and materials used
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations

Skills:

Knowledge and Skills:

Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

Operates with a sense of urgency and can manage time effectively.

Experience with basic plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, painting, and other general repairs.

Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.

Proficiency in using technology such as iPads for daily tasks and record-keeping.

- Proven experience as a Handy Man or similar role
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Proficient in using hand and power tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and clients
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
