Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial transactions and records of our interior design firm and retail boutique. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and creative environment, contributing to the success and growth of our business.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, billing, and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions on a regular basis.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (Shopify POS system and Quickbooks).
• Process payroll for employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts as needed.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Assist with budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Collaborate with the managemen to analyze financial data and make informed business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and procedures.
• Assist with year-end financial audits and tax filings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree not required if you have 5 years in real world experience.
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant, preferably in a similar industry (interior design or retail).
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, and Shopify.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.
