Overview:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing the full scope of high level administrative support for the Le’fant Corporate Human Resources Office and will report to the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO). This is an extremely dynamic role that will encompass all aspects of human resource and human capital management for a quickly growing company. This is a fast paced, challenging position that requires someone to be very knowledgeable in all aspect of HR administration and willing to be flexible and adaptable as challenges arise. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with normal work hours between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. We would consider 1-2 days a week working remotely for the right candidate. The position is located at our headquarters office in Dumfries, Virginia

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Assists the CHRO with recruitment, including but not limited to job postings, pre-screening candidates, scheduling candidate interviews and performing background checks.

• Inputting and updating candidate and employee data into Le’fant’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

• Responsible for generating and running daily, weekly, and monthly reports from Le’fant’s ATS and HRIS systems

• Creates and prepares a variety of documents including project reports, statistical data, forms, spreadsheets, memos and letters and other documents as needed

• Ensures HR files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Corporate policies and procedures, including filing and scanning responsibilities

• Assists Scheduling Manager with tasks such as reporting, data collection, and basic data entry

• Maintains a high level of confidentiality and security of data while ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws

• Assists with training by setting up new hires, recording classes, and generating reports

• Copies and files HR documents, reports, and training materials

• Assist with training and Development of staff

• Assists with performance management and human capital organizational strategy

• Works on special projects as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Required Skills, Education, Experience & Abilities:

• A bachelors degree in Human Resources or a related discipline

• Minimum five years of human resources experience

• Three years of related experience working in a Government Contractor HR Office

• Knowledge of principles, legal requirements and procedures for recruitment and all applicable employment laws.

• Must be well versed on benefits administration and all applicable laws and regulations

• Must be knowledgeable in SCA and able to perform monthly reporting requirements

• Must have experience with developing human capital organizational strategy for a small business (govt contractor)

• Must have experience with performance management and career planning

• Must be customer service oriented and able to treat each employee as their top priority, Our people are the heart of Le’fant

• Must be knowledgeable on federal contracting compliance laws and issues and have experience setting up policies and procedures

• Payroll experience is a plus

• Must be proficient in Paylocity and Unanet administration including generating reports

• Knowledge of the English language including composition and grammar

• Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe

• Ability to pay attention to details

• Excellent time management and organization skills

• Ability to document, record, monitor, and process information

• Ability to use good judgment and decision making skills in order to solve problems

• Ability to use critical thinking skills to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems

• Ability to comprehend and understand others when speaking or reading

• Ability to express one’s self in clearly and concisely in oral and written methods
