This is a 40 hour per week position. Hours vary from 8 : 30am to 5pm including some weekends, holidays and event staffing as needed.

Pay : Starts at $17.00 / hour

GENERAL SUMMARY :

The Porter is primarily responsible for maintaining common areas, corridors, trash rooms, resident storage rooms, and stairwells in their assigned buildings.

The Porter is also responsible for trash removal throughout the community.

Essential Job Duties :

Maintains the cleanliness of the floors, carpets, decorative wall / floor carpentry (baseboards, trim boards), interior windows, railings, glass doors, etc.

Other Duties :

Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.

Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.

Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.

Previous floor maintenance experience preferred but not required.

Must be able to stoop and work from a kneeling position, perform repetitive bending, reaching and stretching. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
