Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a variety of vehicles, including cars, suv's, or vans, to deliver goods to customers
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and obtain necessary signatures or documentation
- Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating vehicles
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is not necessary, but appreciated
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems is beneficial
Skills:
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Strong time management and organizational skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
