Summary:
The Sr. Controls / Automation Technician is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of control systems for a variety of industrial applications. This includes the use of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces), and other related technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, as well as experience with PLC programming and HMI development.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with design, development, and troubleshooting control systems for a variety of industrial applications
- Assist with selection o hardware and software for control systems
- Program updates and modifications of PLCs and HMIs (Allen Bradley PLC and Automation Direct C-More HMI experience is preferred)
- Perform testing and debugging of control systems
- Document control systems
- Work with other engineers and technicians to implement control systems
- Provide technical support to customers
- 5 years of technician experience in controls / automation
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles
- Experience with PLC programming and HMI
- Experience with a variety of industrial control systems
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
