This is a full time in-office position, located in New Hyde Park, NY - hours are Monday to Friday 9 AM to 6 PM.

Commercial Litigation Attorney Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in drafting/preparation of correspondence and legal documents.
• Drafting and arguing motions for state and federal court litigation.
• Court Appearances as necessary.
• Arbitration hearings as necessary.
• Conducting judgment debtor examination(s).
• Correspond with merchants, attorneys, banks, and the Courts via phone and email.
• Assessing likelihood of recovery on defaulted accounts.
• Judgment enforcement by levy, garnishment and other lawful judicial remedies.
• Finalize legal documents and file with Courts & Sheriff/Marshals Office.
• Filing UCCs.
• Maintain merchant files.

Commercial Litigation Attorney Qualifications/Experience:

• New York State Bar License.
• Federal court admission is a plus.
• 1-3 years of experience in Commercial Litigation.
• Proficiency with NYSCEF.
• Comfortable with drafting and filing legal documents.
• Answering debtor inquiries and negotiating payments.
• Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word – Outlook – Excel.
• Able to multitask and thrive in a busy environment.
• Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
