The LC Construction team Intern will work closely with Construction leaders and Development leaders to gain hands-on work experience and to assist with all aspects of urban multifamily real estate development and construction including, but not limited to: development programming, entitlement, permitting, construction oversight.

The Construction Intern will assist in:

• Provide support with all development functions, including acquisitions, due diligence, impact fees, utility costs, market analysis, constructions costs, entitlements, etc.
• Assist in research and data collection for land acquisition, updating records for mapping projects using Google Earth, Google Maps.
• Attend public government agency meetings virtually and provide analyses/synopses, if applicable.
• Meeting coordination/scheduling, documenting meeting minutes, and file organization as directed.
• Review of project specifications, blueprints, and building plans.
• Project planning meetings and reviews.
• Assist Project Manager with various appropriate duties and learn project management process.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Full-time student at the Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or graduate level pursuing degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, Engineering.
• Ability to read and understand complex construction documents.
• Strong quantitative and MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project skills.
• Complex thinker and demonstrates strong intellectual curiosity.
• Keen attention to detail, high energy; possessed with drive.
• Suitability to an entrepreneurial culture that places a premium on performance.
• Must be a team player, but also a self-starter that can perform with limited direction.
• Excellent written and verbal and communication skills.
