We are seeking a design and construction safety manager (DCSM) for a project at Newark Liberty International Airport.

The DCSM will be responsible for assuring compliance with all emergency, safety and health programs for the Project.

Responsibilites:

a) Have overall responsibility for planning, programming, and oversight of the site safety;

b) Lead ongoing safety assurance and auditing activities, safety reporting, and investigations;

c) Prepare all emergency preparedness plans;

d) Be the primary point of contact for the Port Authority and outside entities on safety such as OSHA;

e) Report to superiors that are above the level of Project Manager and have an obligation to report to the Port Authority; and

f) Be independent of Contractor’s production team and have the authority to stop work.

The DCSM will also:

a) Have at least 10 years of experience in safety management and construction of complex infrastructure projects, preferably at major airports;

b) Have full understanding and oversight of crane operations and requirements; and

c) Be familiar with Port Authority and Airport work zone safety regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $180,600.00 - $208,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Site Safety: 10 years (Required)
• Working with the PANYNJ, MTA and/or NJT: 10 years (Required)

License/Certification:
