Mechanic – starting rate from $33 /hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team. As the Mechanic, you will be responsible for prioritizing repair list, performing repairs, delegating other repairs, ensuring that all repair and maintenance work is completed in a timely and efficient manner, and other duties as assigned by management. Some of the Mechanic’s work may be done in the field and some in the shop.

Responsibilities:

- Perform repairs

- Lead and supervise shop work, delegating tasks and providing guidance as needed

- Conduct regular inspections and diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify any issues

- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems in vehicles and equipment

- Maintain a safe and clean work environment

- Keep track of inventory and order necessary supplies and parts

- Estimate costs for repairs and provide quotes to management

- Ensure all work is completed according to company standards and procedures

- Train and mentor junior mechanics

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a mechanic, with at least 3 years in a mechanic role

- Provide and maintain own tools

- Strong knowledge of and ability to repair mechanical issues for heavy equipment, diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, as well as electrical systems

- Excellent problem-solving skills

- Strong communication and leadership abilities

- Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus!)
