We are looking for a licensed/certified veterinary technician for full time employment at a newer one-doctor practice in Lawrenceville. We work from 8am to 4pm sharp, Monday through Friday. Those would be your hours. We leave on time. No weekends or long days. This is a privately owned, non-corporate clinic.

Applicants must:

• Be patient, calm, and compassionate with every pet
• Be professional in attitude and appearance at all times
• Be able to use gentle, safe restraint on dogs and cats; be able to lift up to 35lbs.
• Obtain patient histories and TPRs
• Perform diagnostic tests such as hematocrits, ear and skin cytologies, and run in-house blood analyzers. All fecal and urine samples are submitted to the lab.
• Obtain, appropriately align, and restrain for digital X-rays while adhering to safety measures
• Place intravenous catheters; give IV, IM, and SC injections
• Perform venipuncture and collect lab samples
• Induce and maintain general anesthesia while providing close patient monitoring
• Perform dental prophylaxis and obtain dental radiographs
• Prep and recover surgical patients
• Prep and sterilize surgical instruments and packs
• Intake and discharge surgical patients
• At times, perform client service duties such as greeting clients, making appointments, answering phones, entering charges, and processing credit card payments
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and professional atmosphere of the hospital at all times

Pay rate is negotiable based on work experience and skill level.

All records are electronic; we are a paperless hospital. All modern, digital equipment. Dogs and cats only. No walk-ins. Plenty of on-site parking.
