**Job Summary:**

• Processing of Medicaid Applications, Conversions and Recertifications.
• Meeting with resident and or representative and analysis of all financial documents necessary to process the application.
• Redirecting of income (NAMI) and monitoring that all necessary forms are completed and submitted to Business Office.
• Able to work closely with the admissions department and the business office to ensure that all financial loopholes in securing payment are satisfied.
• Strong familiarity with all aspects of current NYS Medicaid regulations for all counties.
• Interaction with outside agencies and law firms and representation at fair hearing and guardianship proceedings if necessary. Completion of attorney referrals as needed.
• Ability to develop relationships with outside financial and other institutions to obtain needed documentation.
• Candidate should be proactive, a creative thinker and be able to multi-task and communicate effectively with residents/families/representatives and facility staff.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in medical records, patient services, and case management. This role requires knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology.
