Pay Range
$129,030 - $160,188 Annually for the E01.4 Level
Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. Many factors are taken into consideration when setting starting pay including education, experience, the external labor market, and internal equity.
Job Description
We have an opening for a W87-1 Modification Program (MOD) Lead Engineering Business Analyst. This position will support the W87-1 Project Engineer in a programmatic leadership capacity to oversee W87-1 process improvement and support a range of technical and programmatic activities and project execution. This position is in the Defense Technologies Engineering Division within the Engineering Directorate.
You will
Lead the W87-1 Engineering Business Analysis portfolio and plan, conduct, and direct the analysis and design of complex programmatic work of the Business Analysis team.
Support the W87-1 Project Engineer by assessing, developing, and proposing actionable operational changes for program process improvement.
Provide programmatic management solutions to highly unusual, complex, and sensitive issues and technical problems where the solution path is unknown.
Ensure that risks and issues, business processes, strategies, and plans related to the W87-1 Engineering Business Analysis Portfolio are communicated and/or presented in a comprehensive, effective, and timely manner to the Project Engineer and/or engineering leads as needed.
Monitor programmatic performance required to meet milestones and deliverables, using statistical models, analysis, metrics, functional business processes, project management methods, and innovation as needed.
Lead, oversee, mentor, and provide training, guidance, and direction to the W87-1 Business Analyst team, setting work priorities, tasks, and requirements across the program scope.
Direct or lead special assignment activities in support of the W87-1 Program.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
This position requires an active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or active Top Secret clearance issued by another U.S. government agency at the time of hire.
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant functional discipline or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Experience managing multiple integrated projects and leading business transformation activities using project management methodologies, practices, techniques, and tools.
Experience supporting the NNSA nuclear security enterprise and associated weapons program and processes.
Ability to work independently on own initiative, as well as to work effectively in a team environment as a member of a multi discipline project team.
Ability to promote and maintain productive relationships across teams and organizations.
Expert communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills are necessary to present, explain, and advise senior management and external sponsors.
Supervisory experience and/or significant leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills to lead, direct, and oversee the work of team members , provide performance feedback, and actively participate in performance management activities from a programmatic point of view.
Broad knowledge of applicable NNSA orders and requirements.
Ability and commitment to promote and value inclusion, diversity, equity, and accountability principles in the workplace.
