Job Objective/Summary: The Pharmacy Technician performs duties of pharmacy service as assigned and supervised by the pharmacist. These duties require skill and training. Must perform technical or semi-professional tasks. Must be able and willing to learn pharmaceutical nomenclature and medical terminology, as well as pharmacy procedures by on-the-job training. Must be familiar with purchasing procedures and source of supply as well as skilled in receiving, stocking, issuing, shipping and ordering. Must have basic computer knowledge.

Job Education, Licenses/Certifications, Knowledge & Experience: A High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in pharmacy or other healthcare occupation is desirable, but not essential. Experience in purchasing field is highly desirable. Must be able to type 35 words per minute and operate a calculator.
