Position Overview

Due to growth in the organization, we have an exciting new opportunity in our finance department for an entry level Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk will investigate, analyze and validate outstanding customer deductions/chargebacks. In this position you will work closely with our customers, sales, customer service and warehouse departments in an effort to resolve deductions.

Essential Job Functions

· Apply company policies, procedures and practices in validating and resolving customer deductions/chargebacks.

· Utilize portals to obtain back up

· Maintain files and accounting records

· Pursue repayment/collections of invalid deductions/chargebacks via portals, emails or phone.

· Daily Invoicing

· Collections of past due invoices

· Post Customer payments by recording ACH/Wire or checks

· Review and analyzes customer payment history to determine if account is in good standing, terms/credit limit should be revised or account should be placed on credit hold.

· Run Weekly AR Aging

Non-essential Job Functions

· Primary Back Up -Credit reference checks

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

· High School Diploma required. 0-3 years of office experience or an Associate’s Degree.

· Working knowledge of Excel and Word

· Microsoft Outlook

· Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

· Good Organizational Skills

· Problem solving skills

· Able to handle multiple tasks efficiently

Navision experience a plus

Work environment consists of an indoor, climate controlled atmosphere. Working in or near the plant will result in being near moving mechanical parts and/or fumes or airborne particles. Noise level in the office is quiet. Noise level in the plant is moderate and occasionally loud.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
