We are a privately owned family practice in need of a full-time receptionist to join our team. Receptionists are often the first contact patients have with us so we are looking for someone who is a friendly self-starter with superior communication skills.

Candidate must be punctual, organized, have good computer skills, and be able to multi-task and work a flexible schedule. Some evenings and Saturday mornings are requried.

Basic duties will include:

• Answering phone in courteous and timely manner, ensuring patient needs are addressed
• Scheduling appointments
• Checking in patients, verifying insurance, collecting payments not covered by insurance
• Communicating with other receptionists and nurses to ensure smooth patient flow
• Helping with patient care reports by making phone calls and sending letters
• Ensuring reception, nursing, and waiting room areas are organized and clean
• Indexing documents to patient charts
