We are looking for a competent Construction Worker to work on residential and commercial projects. Whether it be a pole barn, fence, or deck, you will be one to help and learn with on-the-job continuous training while projects come to life and become full and solid structures.
- Assist tradesmen and machine operators in construction projects.
- Unload and carry materials at construction sites.
- Operate hand & power tools.
- Use equipment to break old forms and structures.
- Prepare and apply construction materials to build structures or fill gaps (e.g. cement).
- Smooth and level new concrete or other materials.
- Clean out the site from debris and discarded material.
- Place traffic signals where appropriate.
- Erect Pre-Engineered Post Frame Structures (when working with pole barns).
- Work outside.
- Develop your skills in carpentry; framing; and general construction.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and see progress take shape quickly.
- Keep the job site clean and tidy for safety and professionalism.
- Work from ladders and aerial work platforms up to 25 feet off the ground.
- Work overtime if necessary to meet deadlines.
- Proven experience as a construction worker.
- Experience in operating basic equipment like drills, levels, impacts, metal shears, air guns, hammers, etc.
- Knowledge of mixing and pouring construction material (concrete, sand, grout, etc.)
- Knowledge of basic engineering and construction principles and methods.
- Able to work in a team.
- Able to read instructions and blueprints when needed.
- Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written).
- Excellent balance and eye-hand coordination.
- Able to read a tape measure and communicate measurements to others.
