Lawn Doctor of Baldwin and Mobile Counties is growing quickly, and we are looking for an individual dedicated to providing high-quality, customer-focused lawn care services to join our team as an Operations Manager. Our Operations Manager is responsible for the overall management and execution of Lawn Doctor operations, including a focus on supervision and management of our Lawn Care Specialists, service routing, optimization, customer acquisition and retention, and quality assurance. This is a leadership position, and the individual chosen is expected to effectively drive the overall performance of Lawn Doctor through effective supervision, communication, and coordination of the team members while effectively utilizing technological resources to optimize processes.

Operations Manager Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 5 Lawn Care Specialists
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Route services to be performed by Specialists
• Conduct and/or monitor training of all new employees.
• Conduct training of staff on all policies, procedures, and practices carried out by Lawn Doctor to provide the highest level of lawn treatment.
• Ensure all work is completed timely and accurately, and address any deficiency in both completed and incomplete work.
• Identify and correct all unsafe conditions and practices.
• Ensure daily vehicle maintenance.
• Assist with new sales.
• Assist with addressing customer concerns and performing lawn walkthroughs.
• Occasionally perform some duties similar to Lawn Care Specialists: Apply fertilizers, weed control, and insect control to lawns according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions.
• Effectively communicate with customers regarding treatment and recommendations.
• Complete accurate documentation for clients, office, and Department of Agriculture as applicable.
• Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate for this position must have the following:

• High school degree or equivalent.
• A strong work ethic.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license.
• A clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Clean and neat appearance along with a positive attitude.
• Ability to operate machinery.
• Be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds.
• Ability to manage of team of 5 people.
• Strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire employees at all levels of the organization.
• Technical skills and acumen to run reports and monitor workforce.
• Pass a drug test and background check.
• Clearance to work in the United States.

Additional desired (but not required) experience and training:

• Agronomy degree or equivalent work experience in agronomy, landscaping, and/or weed control and fertilization.
• Prior experience working with Real Green.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,440.00 - $52,000.00 per year
