We are currently seeking a reliable Warehouse Associate to join our team. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of merchandise. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess good communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Receive incoming shipments, unload trucks, and inspect merchandise for damages or discrepancies.
Sort and store received items in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring proper organization and inventory management.
Pick items from shelves or bins according to picking lists or customer orders, using handheld scanners or other equipment.
Pack and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging to prevent damages during transit.
Print and affix shipping labels, arrange for carrier pickups, and load trucks with outgoing shipments.
Perform cycle counts and periodic inventory checks to maintain accurate inventory records.
Keep warehouse clean and organized, including sweeping, mopping, and disposing of packaging materials.
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and address any issues or concerns.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and handheld scanners; certification may be required.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks such as counting, picking, and packing.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to meeting deadlines and quality standards.
