We are seeking exceptional Private Sector Security Professionals to become an integral part of our team. The selected individual(s) will provide various tasks depending on assignment and position.

This is a Part-Time/Fill-in, Uniformed Armed position for sites in the greater Los Angeles area. It is predominantly a standing post dealing with access control and site security. As opportunities and/or positions open, they would be available to those who qualify and provide an application through the command structure.

This position requires a BSIS Guard Card AND Exposed Weapons Permit. CPR/AED certification is desired.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keeping the site, materials, staff and patrons safe.
• Monitor premises as a visual deterrent to theft, violence, and/or infractions of rules.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, trip hazards, etc.
• Request emergency personnel for any applicable situations.
• Multi-tasking, prioritizing, and completing tasks in an organized, efficient and effective manner.
• Safeguarding and maintaining highly sensitive and confidential information of LSI, the site and staff.
• Safeguarding individuals and property from all forms of security and safety hazards.
• Responding to alarms/fire/panic calls immediately and promptly securing the safety and security of human life and physical property.
• Strictly adhering to Post Orders and SOPs designated to static & mobile team
• Report writing to include daily activity & supplemental reports.
• Conducting thorough investigations and preparing written documentation regarding non-routine incidents with incident reports, pictures and witness statements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant security experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of full-time uniformed armed security experience preferred
• Law Enforcement, Military and/or National Guard experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• DCA BSIS Guard Card – Required for all positions.
• DCA BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit – Required for Armed Positions.
• CPR certification desired and the ability to obtain additional licenses/certifications as needed.
• Advanced medical training is preferred.

Salary: $20 -$25 per hour depending on background training and experience.
