The Law Offices of Luis A. Martinez, PC is a leading bilingual plaintiff personal injury law firm established in Salem for 22years. We are expanding our litigation team. In so doing, we are looking for an experienced civil trial-oriented paralegal to serve our expanding client-base needs.

Given the changes in the insurance/ litigation landscape, we decided to undertake this bold step to aggressively counteract the insurance companies’ ever-increasing denial and push for litigation. That means we need to take more cases to court. Our goal is to position ourselves as the go-to trial firm of the Mid-Willamette Valley that holds insurance companies accountable.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced paralegal to join our litigation unit. As a paralegal at our firm, you will play a crucial role in assisting attorneys with all aspects of our litigated cases. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment while contributing to the success of our clients.

Responsibilities:

· Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents (such as complaints, summons, request for production, motions in limine, and jury instructions to name a few) and manage discovery.

· E-fling and docketing.

· Arrange for service of process of legal documents.

· Organize and maintain case files and documents.

· Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel professionally and effectively.

· Assist the attorney in preparation of clients for depositions, hearings, and trials.

· Assist in trial preparation and attend court as needed.

· Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, calendar management, and billing support.

· Reliable and predictable attendance.

· Perform other duties as assigned by attorneys.

Qualifications:

·Two years experience as a paralegal in a personal injury law firm.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro.

· Ability to pay excellent attention to detail in typing, grammar, and spelling.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Highly organized with great attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits:

· $55,000 - $70,000 / year, DOE

· Paid Health Insurance

· Paid Vacation

· Paid Sick Leave

Schedule

· 8-hour shift

· Monday thru Friday

· In office
