Law Offices Of David L Carrier P C is Hiring a HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATOR - Part Time Near Grand Rapids, MI

Job Summary

The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for administering the daily human resource functions including bi-weekly payroll, employee benefits, recruiting, onboarding, policy and record management, and enforcing company policies. This is a part time job, 24 hours per week.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Processes accurate and timely biweekly payroll.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; coordinates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Maintains updated job descriptions.
  • Completes all employee onboarding and offboarding tasks.
  • Enters employee data into ADP. Maintains meticulous employee records, ensuring compliance with legal requirements with a high regard for confidentiality.
  • Administers corporate benefit plans and assists employees with enrollments, changes and queries. Assists in annual open enrollment period, including leading information sessions with employees, distributing materials, communicating benefits changes.
  • Ensures accurate administration and interpretation of company policies, including compliance with state and federal laws. Maintains and updates employee handbook.
  • Investigates, documents, and resolves employee issues and complaints. Issue warnings for company rule violations, for all employees, maintaining consistency within the organization.
  • Completes Unemployment Insurance Benefit paperwork and attend hearings when necessary.

 Education and Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of human resources experience
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. 
  • Proficient in all Microsoft office programs and working knowledge of HRIS. Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
