Family law paralegal wanted for a fast paced and busy family law office in Nevada City, California. My office practices family law and criminal defense. We strive to provide clients with high quality legal services through each step of their case.

The job duties and qualifications include but are not limited to the following:

· Proficient in the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· 3 years’ experience in paralegal position (we are willing to train the right candidate)

· Paralegal degree and/or certificate a must.

· Proficient writer a must!

· Legal writing

· Preparing and drafting motions, pleadings, judgments, statements, documents, and other correspondence (e.g., debt and asset lists, witness affidavits, child support worksheets, responsive pleadings, etc.)

· Good at multi-tasking

· Scheduling appointments

· Conducting client interviews

· Preparing trial notebooks and providing assistance in trial settings

· Maintaining effective communication with clients.

· Communicate well with other professionals

· Familiarity with the discovery process includes asking questions and collecting, organizing, and delivery documents necessary for the case.

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
