The Law Foundation of Silicon Valley advances the rights of underrepresented individuals and families in our diverse
community through legal services, strategic advocacy, and educational outreach. Now with over employees, the Law
Foundation is the largest provider of free legal services in the South Bay. Located in downtown San Jose, the Law

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Law Foundation invites rising third year law students and recent law school graduates to propose fellowship projects
for submission to Equal Justice Works, Justice Catalyst, and similar programs for -/ in the areas of Housing or
Children and Youth.
Children & Youth
Our Legal Advocates for Children and Youth (LACY) program advances the legal rights of children and youth,
empowering them to lead healthy and productive lives. We listen to, advise, and advocate for our clients to
ensure their voices are heard and their rights are protected. We provide free and confidential legal assistance to
clients in juvenile dependency, family law, probate guardianship, education law, immigration and financial
security. Our advocacy extends to improving court and community systems designed to protect and promote
child welfare. We offer workshops to educate youth, parents, caregivers, and community members about issues
impacting children’s rights.
Housing
The goal of Housing program is to prevent the displacement of low-income families and communities of color in
Silicon Valley through direct legal services (eviction defense), policy advocacy, and impact litigation. We
welcome fellows with projects committed to preventing the displacement of low-income families and
communities of color including projects related to eviction defense, preservation and protection of affordable
housing (including naturally occurring affordable housing such as mobile-homes), organizing in affordable
housing complexes, and legal services targeted at specific populations including Spanish and Vietnamese
speaking populations, and the southern part of Santa Clara County.

The Law Foundation welcomes fellowship proposals from rising third year law students. Applicants must commit to
