CIVIL PROJECT ESTIMATOR

Laurita, Inc., established in 1984 in Morgantown, WV is a total site development contractor specializing in mass grading and underground utility installation. Laurita Inc. is hiring a reliable, ambitious, and aggressive individual who will work with us to establish Laurita as a major player in Northern VA and the surrounding area. We are looking to hire an individual to assist in managing work from pre-constructions through completion on our projects in Virginia. The individual would report to our new office in Manassas, VA.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Analyze bid documents and project plans to gain thorough understanding of project

· Attend daily, weekly, or monthly progress meetings as required by clients

· Create daily reports and present to clients as needed

· Create project schedules (3 week lookaheads) and materials delivery schedules

· Gather materials information and submit to clients and owners

· Development and maintain relationships with vendors, clients

and subcontractors

· Review and manage bids from vendors and subcontractors

· Visit projects to understand site conditions, restrictions, and challenges as needed

· Develop workflow cost effective solutions throughout project lifecycle

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

· Other duties as necessary

Qualifications:

· 3 years prior experience in civil work in Northern VA, DC Metro market

· Bachelor’s / advanced degree in construction related field

· Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

· Detailed oriented with strong prioritization and organization skills

· Efficient time management skills

· Proven track record of Project Management on heavy civil projects
