Admissions Coordinator
Full-Time in office 5 day work week
Requires Friday, Saturday and Sunday with flexibility of remaining days

Pay Range $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

Build and maintain professional relationships with referral source contacts including hospitals, physicians, clinic managers, insurance case managers, liaisons, and state and county caseworkers.
Ensure the interior of the facility is tour-ready and presents well to visitors and patients at all times.
Coordinate the admission process for each new resident ensuring prearrival communication across departments, and complete room readiness.
Conduct facility tours for potential new patients.
Assist in the new resident admission orientation program, providing residents with an admission information packet.
Review and explain to each new resident and/or resident’s family facility room rates, billing procedures, visitor/guest privileges, restrictions and resident care procedures.
Maintain an accurate record of available beds and a resident waiting list.
Complete, maintain and analyze daily and monthly census reports.
Coordinate 24/7 backup systems and coverage for admissions.

Qualifications:

Senior care experience highly preferred.
Knowledgeable of reimbursement systems such as Medicaid, Medicare and private insurances.
Knowledgeable of rules, regulations and guidelines that govern nursing care facilities.
Accomplished at maintaining tact and professionalism with personnel, residents, visitors and the general public.
Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
