Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • A. Uses district approved curriculum
  • B. Observe and evaluate student’s performance and development while providing feedback to encourage student growth
  • C. Uses positive intervention strategies to support students and promote their social, emotional and physical growth and development
  • D. Uses research-based literacy and/or numeracy intervention strategies to support students
  • E. Participate in district-provided professional development related to best practice in content areas, assessment and RTI
  • F. Communicates with families for requested information
  • A. Identifies students needing Tier 2 and 3 support
  • B. Collaborates with co-facilitators to guide behavioral and academic interventions, monitor student data and ensure teacher support
  • C. Provides data driven strategies that address equitable practices for improving student experiences and achievement
  • D. Facilitates a RTI framework for literacy and numeracy that supports differentiated instruction, closes the achievement gap and ensures high levels of learning for all students
  • E. If serving as a Title 1 site, consults with Title 1 personnel (coordinate schedules, resources, training)
  • F. Collaborates with the SPED team in referring students for evaluation
  • A. Supports staff with testing and progress monitoring
  • B. Supports principal with schoolwide data
  • C. Analyze schoolwide data to prioritize intervention needs across the building
  • D. Assist staff to analyze student achievement trend data (universal screeners, diagnostic assessments, progress monitoring tools, CFAs, state tests) in order to personalize instruction
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested including attending professional development/meetings, in-services and workshops.

Help Build a Positive School and Classroom Culture

  • Embody and maintain school’s values, policies, and culture
  • Develop positive relationships with students, families, teachers, and staff
  • Establish and maintain strong communication with all parents and share progress
  • Effectively learn how to supervise and manage a classroom of up to 30 students
  • Show up for critical school events, including staff meetings, open houses, parent-teacher conferences, and more

  • Performs other duties relative to the overall operations of Laureate Academy as assigned

Schedule

  • Monday - Thursdays from 7:15AM-4:00PM
  • Fridays from 7:15-end of dismissal (around 3:10PM)
  • After school events as scheduled

Start Date:An exceptional candidate will assume a full time role on July 18, 2024 as a part of Laureate Academy’s summer professional development. The position will remain open until filled.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
