Communications Director - Dallas, TX

Position Title: Communications Director

Location: Preferred location is in Dallas, TX

Department: Global Resource Team (GRT)

Reports to: Development Director

This position is: Full-time and Exempt

The Communications Director is primarily responsible for developing and implementing Launch Global’s internal and external marketing and communication strategies for a growing ministry. The Communications Director manages the daily operation of all activities related to marketing and communications and reports to the Development Director. These responsibilities include managing internal and external communications, producing marketing and training materials, managing the website and graphic design, and communicating with donors. Additionally, the Communications Director works with other internal teams on various marketing and communication needs to maintain organizational brand consistency and achieve related communication goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Communication Strategy, Vision and Leadership: 

  • Develop annual marketing/communications plan,, including goals and outcomes for all facets of the marketing and communications efforts
  • Work with the Development Director to effectively communicate the vision of the organization to Launch Global’s donor constituency
  • Identify current gaps and new opportunities in communication strategy and operations, and diplomatically implement solutions 

Communication Operations: 

  • Lead all internal and external marketing and communications projects for Launch Global through timely conception, implementation, and follow-up, including members of the communications team and any external vendors, freelancers, and consultants hired to support the project
  • Champion excellence in the communication of Launch Global’s vision, mission, and brand by equipping LG leaders with their communications needs and training LG staff on our brand guidelines and communications best practices
  • Oversee the process of collecting, organizing, editing, and sharing impact stories across a variety of mediums from the mission’s field to be used in internal and external marketing and communications projects, including monthly all-staff meetings, regular prayer updates, stewardship reports, donor communications, events, digital platforms, and new channels as needed
  • Provide vision and direction for a growing ministry by improving on the existing marketing and communications plan and working alongside LG leadership to develop and implement a strategic communications calendar to help LG achieve our one-year, three-year, and ten-year objectives and goals
  • Oversee marketing and advertising of our product, which is helping people discover God’s heart for the nations, and training goers through discipleship groups

  • Weekly update email to staff

Other Responsibilities and Projects

  • Attend Launch Global conferences and retreats 
  • Video production (i.e Learning Management System videos)
  • Support raising videos and materials

Experience

  • Required, a minimum of 2 years of experience working in marketing or communications; preferred, minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Ministry/nonprofit experience preferred

Additional Job Requirements

  • Participation in monthly Day of Prayer and Evaluation
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
