New Job Opportunity - Staff Accountant:
New and exciting job opportunity with a client based out of Chesapeake, VA. Looking to hire an accounting professional with a minimum of one year of related work experience (Full Cycle Accounting). We are trying to fill this role within the next 2 weeks.
Logistics of the Role:
- Full Time - 6 Month Contract to Hire
- On Site
Day to Day Activities:
- Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
- Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations
- Assisting with the month end close processes - Month End Close experience is required
- Maintaining documentation for accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury functions
- Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
- Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits
Qualifications:
- QuickBooks Desktop Experience is Required
- Bachelors Degree is preferred (Accounting, Finance, or Related)
- Minimum of one year professional accounting experience
- Communications and Organizational Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
