Job Title: JavaScript Developer

Compensation: $90k-$110k Location: Hanover, MD 

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled JavaScript Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications, ensuring they are responsive, efficient, and user-friendly. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and back-end developers, to deliver high-quality web solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Front-End Development: Develop and maintain web applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Implement responsive designs to ensure optimal user experience across various devices and browsers.

2. JavaScript Frameworks/Libraries: Proficiency in popular JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js. Ability to choose the appropriate technology stack for each project.

3. User Interface (UI) Development: Create interactive and visually appealing user interfaces that align with design specifications. Translate design mockups into functional code.

4. Cross-Browser Compatibility: Ensure that web applications work consistently across different browsers and platforms by addressing compatibility issues.

5. Performance Optimization: Optimize code and applications for maximum speed and scalability. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

6. Testing and Debugging: Write unit tests and perform debugging to ensure the reliability and functionality of code. Use debugging tools to diagnose and fix issues.

7. Version Control: Collaborate with team members using version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage codebase and facilitate collaboration.

8. Collaboration: Work closely with designers, back-end developers, and other stakeholders to bring projects from concept to completion. Communicate technical details effectively.

9. Code Documentation: Maintain clear and concise code documentation to assist team members and ensure code maintainability.

10. Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends, tools, and best practices to enhance your skills and contribute to project success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a JavaScript Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Understanding of front-end build tools and package managers (e.g., Webpack, npm, yarn).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
• Knowledge of browser developer tools for debugging and profiling.
• Experience with version control systems, especially Git.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently when necessary.
• Additional skills (e.g., Node.js, TypeScript) may be a plus, depending on the job requirements.

Optional/Desirable Skills:

• Back-end development skills (Node.js, Express.js, etc.) for full-stack development roles.
• Experience with mobile app development (React Native, Ionic, etc.).
• Knowledge of responsive design principles.
