The AV Field Technician will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audiovisual systems, with a focus on Crestron, Extron, and AMX equipment. This role requires extensive field service work, including system commissioning and client support. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Installation and Configuration:
- Install and configure AV systems, including Crestron, Extron, and AMX components
- Ensure all equipment is installed according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Perform cable management and termination
- System Commissioning:
- Conduct system commissioning, including testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of AV systems
- Program and configure control systems and user interfaces
- Maintenance and Support:
- Provide on-site technical support and maintenance for AV systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Perform regular system checks and preventive maintenance
- Client Interaction:
- Interface with clients to understand their AV needs and provide technical guidance
- Train end-users on the operation of AV systems
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and maintenance activities
- Provide detailed reports on system performance and service calls
