Meet the team:
The Deploy team is responsible for providing and tooling and infrastructure for engineers and teams across Latitude to be able build and update software on our driver assistance system, and we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineering Manager to lead the team responsible.The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in software development and a proven track record of leading successful engineering teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a specific focus on software update processes for safety-critical systems.
What you'll do:

• Lead and manage a small team of engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and drive the technical roadmap that aligns with the strategic goals of the company
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of scalable, reliable, and efficient software systems to support the the deployment of development and production software
• Drive best practices in software engineering, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration and deployment processes
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment

What you'll need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field and 4 years of relevant experience (or Master's degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or PhD)
• 5 years of experience with software development in Python, C , C , Java, JavaScript, and/or Go
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects
• 3 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization
• Proven expertise in building and managing high-performing engineering teams, with a strong focus on delivering complex software projects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Nice to have:

• Experience with low level programming including Embedded C / C , Linux Kernel
• Experience with robotics or safety critical systems
