Latitude 33 Planning & Engineering is Hiring a Land Survey CAD Technician Near San Diego, CA

We are currently seeking a Land Survey CAD Technician with a minimum of 5 years of experience. This position is responsible for developing survey construction stakeout and as-built plans and boundary survey drawings in an AutoCAD CIVIL3D platform; receiving field data and transforming them into working drawings, existing conditions base sheets and finished plats. The Survey CAD Technician will work under the direction of a Project Surveyor.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate construction calculations for staking projects
  • Manage field collected data
  • Create as-built exhibits using computer-assisted desgin/drafting equipment
  • Review field certification data and prepare certification letters
  • Generate topographic design surveys based on filed survey data
  • Modify drawings as directed by project manager/project surveyor
  • Work closely and collaborate with surveyors and engineers to ensure a coordinated design
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as necessary

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 3 years experience generating calculations for construction staking
  • Proficiency in AUTOCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience with Trimble Business software a plus
  • Familiarity with reading plans
  • Experience in processing field data collection electronic files
  • Strong work ethic with desire to work in a productive team environment
  • Effective oral and written communication within all levels of company management and fellow employees
  • Motivated individual with a willingness to learn
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
