Job Description

Lathem Time is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in driving our product development strategy. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and facilitating the successful delivery of software solutions that are highly valued by our customers.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive use case documents to clearly articulate product requirements
  • Anticipate and identify areas for improvement, proposing innovative solutions to enhance business processes and user experience
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and advancements in software development and business analysis methodologies
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders, including customers, developers, and management
  • Conduct thorough product requirement analysis and benchmarking to ensure we exceed our customers’ business objectives
  • Prepare clear and concise documentation of analysis findings and recommendations so our developers have a clear understanding of the development requirements..
  • Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
  • Gather critical information from meetings and stakeholders to produce actionable reports and feedback
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to define product backlog items, prioritize initiatives, and ensure product doneness
  • Assist the Product Owner in managing projects, developing product roadmaps, and monitoring feature performance
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and end users, ensuring their needs are accurately represented and addressed


Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis or a comparable role
  • Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements accurately and comprehensively
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills to identify and resolve complex problems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels
  • Expertise in Agile Scrum methodologies and experience participating in daily Scrum ceremonies
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar project management tools
  • Experience with Office 365, particularly OneDrive, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
  • Experience with time and attendance software or similar business applications
  • Exposure to software as a service (SaaS) environments
  • Exposure to B2B workforce management software
