About the Role

The Global Client Account Services Intern is an integral part of Latham’s Finance & Accounting team. This role will be responsible for maintaining and managing the master billing file for assigned practice offices at the firm, while reviewing new client matters and validating Conflicts data for accuracy, completeness, and following-up on missing or incomplete data. This role is located in our Global Services Office, located in downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role is full-time, may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence, and starts immediately.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

• Evaluating and inputting the appropriate billing and exception rates in to the 3E billing system
• Coordinating with attorneys, legal secretaries, and accounting personnel regarding the receipt of required data, supporting documentation, and approvals in accordance with billing policies and procedures
• Maintaining and managing client and matter accounts, billing files, and record archives
• Maintaining the timely workflow of the new client matters; following-up with the practice offices to ensure all matter maintenance are accurately and timely processed
• Verifying all client master set ups including billing rates and exception rate hierarchies; confirming client arrangements for special rate needs

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Possess knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Demonstrate the ability to comprehend and accurately perform mathematical functions
• Exhibit analytical skills needed to correctly comprehend and communicate data

And have:

• A High School diploma
• A Bachelor's degree or coursework in Accounting, Business Administration or related field
