About the Role

The Enterprise Security Monitoring and Cloud Supervisor is an integral part of Latham’s Global Security & Risk Management team. This role will be responsible for leading the Security Monitoring and Cloud Security teams in working to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of firm and client data, while supervising and developing their staff by organizing, assigning, delegating, and coordinating the work of the staff to ensure department objectives are met timely and accurately, as well as generating a formal performance evaluation for departmental employees. This role will be located in either our Los Angeles or Las Vegas office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

• Making recommendations to the Information Security Officer and the Human Resources department with regards to selecting, coaching, counseling, and managing the performance of departmental employees
• Identifying and implementing training opportunities for their staff, and tracking the progress and effectiveness of the training programs
• Acting as the lead resource and conduit for security questions, issues, and policies for the team; ensuring the team members adhere to firm and technology department standards and policies
• Drafting communications regarding security for various audiences within the firm
• Staying abreast of current and new software, tools, technologies, and market trends as they relate to security, their use at the firm, and the legal market in general

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Demonstrate excellent leadership skills (e.g., organizing, planning, problem-solving, and decision making) necessary for effective management of resources and personnel while maximizing cooperation, collaboration and team building
• Effectively use independent judgment and discretion when making decisions
• Exhibit the ability to proofread the work of others to ensure compliance, accuracy, and consistent and appropriate style

And have:

• A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma of Higher Education; a minimum of four (4) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in information technology
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in information security work
• Experience working in a law practice office and supervising technical personnel in a dynamic
