LasikPlus is Hiring a Marketing Specialist - Video Editor [On-Site] Near Cincinnati, OH
- Create a brief based on intake from involved team members to grasp needs and specifications and build the story boards for the project
- Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
- Create a brief based on intake from involved team members to grasp needs and specifications
- Work with external videographers to provide them with direction on needs (shot list, scenes, copy points if speaking in videos, etc.)
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
- Create rough and final cuts, which includes rounds of revisions from end users
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
- Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency
- Proven work experience as a video editor
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. PremierePro, Adobe, After Effects and Final Cut)
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
- Self-starter comfortable offering suggestions outside of their direct work as well as the ability to accept recommendations about their work
- Familiarity with special effects and compositing
- Creative mind and storytelling skills with the ability to advertise to various age groups and medias differently
- Degree in video design or digital media preferred
