As a Mechanical Draftsman, you will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and plans based on project specifications. You will collaborate closely with engineers and other team members to ensure that designs meet quality standards and comply with regulations. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm (flexible).

Responsibilities:

• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software (Solidworks) to create detailed mechanical drawings and plans.
• Interpret rough sketches, specifications, and other data to produce accurate technical drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Make revisions to drawings as necessary and incorporate feedback from team members.
• Ensure that drawings comply with company standards, industry regulations, and quality specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of designs.
• Maintain organized files and documentation for each project.

Requirements:

• Associates degree/certification or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
• Proven experience working as a Mechanical Draftsman or similar role.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar programs.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to mechanical design and drafting.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in electromechanical design.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling software and techniques.
• Certification in mechanical drafting or related field.
• proficiency in electronics (specifically circuit troubleshooting and design)

Laser Components Detector Group, Inc. has been researching, developing, and manufacturing semiconductor detectors in Arizona since 2004.
