Insurance verification specialist to verify health insurance for a high volume of new and existing patients.
Essential Functions
1. Responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, to ensure necessary procedures are covered by an individual’s provider.
2. Responsible for entering data in an accurate manner in order to update patient benefit information correctly in EMR and verify that existing information is accurate.
3. Notify patients if changes have occurred or need to be made in regards of their insurance.
4. Verify insurance prior to the visit
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school graduate or GED certificate is required.
2. Experience in a physician billing or third party payer environment.
3. Candidate must be detailed oriented.
4. Candidate must demonstrate effective communication skills.
