Our partner, an industrial distribution and manufacturing company located in the Philadelphia metro area, is immediately seeking an Indirect Sourcing Specialist to work in the company headquarters.
The Indirect Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for developing, executing and administering indirect strategic sourcing strategies determined by organizational objectives.
Hybrid position, with 2 days working from home each week.
Indirect Sourcing Specialist Responsibilities :
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for indirect categories
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and establish long-term relationships
Implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or service levels
Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring performance meets expectations
Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and address any issues or concerns
Stay updated on market trends, supplier capabilities and changes in the regulatory environment
Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions
Identify opportunities for process improvement within the procurement function
Bachelor's degree
Proven experience (3 years) is strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
Strong knowledge of ERP systems and Excel
Excellent organizational, problem solving and strategic thinking skills
Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills
