Job Overview:
The primary goal of the Group Fitness Coordinator (GFC) will be to partner with the Group Fitness Director managing the department of over 150 instructors (this is a roaming number).

The GFC is responsible for the coordination of group fitness classes for all LVAC locations and will handle all aspects of our group exercise scheduling system-ScheduleSource to ensure continual coverage of the over 400 group fitness classes per week. Additionally, the GFC is responsible for the continual audit and assurance that all audio equipment for our club locations including headsets and microphone systems are in good working order. Managing employee expectations and attitudes is an imperative part of the GFC’s role, as well as ensuring members are happy with our instructor customer service.

Qualifications:

• Must be in excellent physical condition and be a role model for our staff

• Must be well organized and able to multi-task • Ability to promote a culture of team inclusion

• Must work well with club management personnel

• Demonstrate excellent communication with members, Group Fitness staff and management

• Ability to work with instructors with respect to class coverage and class responsibilities

• Ability to think independently and contribute decisions important to the smooth running of the department

• Ability to work well with our instructor team in all aspects outside of classes

• Demonstrate a high degree of energy and endurance

• Must hold and maintain professional fitness certification(s) or relevant format certifications

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Manage our ScheduleSource database system used to schedule classes

• Run reports as necessary via ScheduleSource

• Communicate with supervisor for direction on obtaining department goals

• Ensure that a safe and healthy environment exists for all instructors

• Provide maximum and continual motivation to staff

• Maintain inventory of all group fitness equipment at all club locations

• Travel to and from all club locations as necessary for repairs, replacement of equipment

• Manage the inventory of equipment at all club locations and replace as necessary

• Must have the ability to contribute to our Social Media presence

• Participate in Group Fitness meetings & workshops

• Ability to keep accurate and detailed records of program/format progress

• Run monthly sub and gas reports and all other relevant reports

• Communicate with club management through emails or in person

Requirements:

• Excellent communication & listening skills

• Must have previous experience in teaching group fitness formats

Pay: $36,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
