The Quality Assurance Technician/ CMM Programmer assures the consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing manufacturing practices and systems, validating processes, and providing necessary documentation to ensure quality excellence. In this role the technician will strive to achieve Quality Assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews, preparing and completing action plans, implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, identifying and resolving problems, completing audits, determining system improvements as well as implementing change.
The Quality Technician will perform the described quality activities throughout the manufacturing plant as necessary and on a daily basis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
· CMM programming (Calipso Software).
· Create new or update exiting CMM programs.
· Good knowledge of GD&T. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Ability to pick proper measurement method.
· Inspection of incoming and outgoing products and materials to engineering specifications using basic test and measuring equipment.
· Perform visual and dimensional inspection of purchased parts, tight tolerance machined, fabricated and stamped parts, components, assemblies and materials using calibrated equipment.
· Perform first article inspection and FAI layouts on new and/or revised parts and components.
· Complete FAI reports with all dimensions and submit to PPAP Lead for data entry and verifications. Ensure that PPAP and FAI’s reports meet customer and/or internal requirements.
· Generate regular inspection reports (incoming, in process and/or final audits), if required.
· Initiate, track, document and close nonconformance reports (NC’s).
· Learn and work with calibration module and perform Gage Calibrations.
· Complete Measurements for statistical process controls, capability studies, and MSA (Gage R&R) as applicable for key characteristics specified on customer prints and/or customer specs, if required.
Required Knowledge:
· 2 Years of experience performing close tolerance mechanical inspections.
· 2 Years of programing CMM with Calipso or PCDIMS.
· Experience with Metal Stamping, Metal Fabrication and/or Precision Machining
· Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949
· Strong Math Skills
· Strong Computer Literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
