Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers/DCWs to provide assistance and support to individuals in need. As a Caregiver/DCW, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients. This position requires experience in behavior management, medication administration, documentation, and personal care.
Duties:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and blood sugar checks
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with meal planning and preparation
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up
- Escort clients to appointments or social outings
- Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation of services provided
- Ensure client safety and adhere to resident rights
Experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or direct care
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with one on one care
- Experience working in group homes or home care settings is a plus
- Basic understanding of first aid procedures
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have cpr/tb test
- Ability to adapt to changing client needs
