Join our team! Laredo Medical Center’s Cath Lab Unit provides a 2 Suite Cath Lab Center. We are looking for a Rad Tech Spec Proc II in a F/T status. The Hospital is located in sunny Laredo, Texas, just 150 miles south of historic San Antonio. Read a full position description below.

The Staff Technologist provides patient services using imaging modalities, performs radiographic procedures, applies principles of radiation protection and the ALARA principle, exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures, provides patient care essential to radiographic procedures, recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates life support measures, establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and the Medical Staff. Performs radiology services "on call" as needed.

Job Requirements Include:

Education:

• Required: Graduate of an accredited program in Radiology Technology either hospital based or college degree program.

Experience:

• Required: Minimum of two (2) years as a Rad Tech Special Procedures I working in an Interventional Radiology or Cardio Cath Lab unit.

Licenses / Certificates

• Required: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or eligible.
• Required: State license or certification if applicable.
• Required: RT Licensed and ARRT Cert.
• Required: CPR within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: Advanced ARRT Registration.
• Preferred: Interventional Radiology Certification.

• Associates or better in Radiography
