Responsibilities & Essential Duties

Superintendents basic function is to manage Lantz’s projects and oversee the work being done on site daily as well as provide mentorship and leadership to other team members. Responsibilities and essential job duties for this position include the following categories and items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.

• Must have a strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the overall Lantz safety program as well as project-specific safety plans.
• Ability to coordinate activities with others.
• Understand all phases of construction (Pre-Construction, Construction and Post-Construction)

Expected Hours of Work:Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 40 hours per week. This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work.

Certifications (preferred but not mandatory)

• OSHA 10-HOUR or OSHA 30-Hour
• CPR/First Aid

Required Education and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the commercial and/or industrial construction industry as a Superintendent.
• Competent in a multitude of IT platforms (e.g., MS-Office, MS-Excel, Procore, Bluebeam)
• High School diploma or equivalent (required)
• College degree (preferred, not required)

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Must have valid driver license and a good driving history
• Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks as needed
• Ability to multi-task and handle stressful situations with ease
• Ability to lead team members to get work done efficiently and with high quality
• Ability to work in all weather

Travel:Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
