Summary of Role

The Associate Director of Medical Affairs Field Excellence and Medical Operations is a key member of the Global Field Medical Affairs Team and will support the Senior Director of Medical Affairs Field Excellence and Medical Operations in the development, management, and execution of the Field Medical Affairs (FMA) operational plan and process improvement. The successful candidate will have a medical background and will assist the Senior Director in performing situational analysis, developing and implementing operational strategies and tactics, supporting the various therapeutic areas and regional teams, and ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements. This position will report to the Senior Director of Medical Affairs Field Excellence and Medical Operations.

Responsibilities & essential functions:

  • Supports the evolution and development of FMA operational excellence through the participation in initiatives, FMA project planning, KOL documentation, systems/platforms for insight gathering and monitoring tools.
  • Contributes to the Field Medical excellence initiatives by providing input on processes, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting solution development and implementation.
  • Serves as a resource for Operational Excellence and process improvement within FMA-Global Medical Affairs
  • Collaborates with effective team communication and project management.
  • Maintains content within Teams and SharePoint to promote FMA/GMA Operational Excellence.
  • Assists in coordinating and preparing logistics for meetings with internal teams, including tracking and follow up on actions from these meetings and other projects.
  • In collaboration with the Senior Director of Medical Affairs Excellence and Operations and in support of Team objectives, this individual will participate in, support, and execute cross-functional projects required to achieve Team and Medical Affairs objectives.
  • Supports the structural development of the Field Medical territory plan while working closely with the Regional Leads in the alignment, planning and execution.
  • Assists in providing support to budgetary items / initiatives within FMA in collaboration with the Senior Director of Medical Affairs Excellence and Operations.
  • Communicates budget status to FMA functions as needed.
  • Supports Fair Market value calculation of HCP/KOL contracts.
  • Helps in facilitation of KOL/HCP and Lantheus Executive Advisor Panel (LEAP) contracts
  • Fully understands and complies with Lantheus Medical Imaging Pharmacovigilance SOPs regarding Adverse Events
  • Adheres to the US “Compliance Code of Conduct” and all LMI policies and procedures, the OIG Guidance, the PhRMA Code, GCP, HIPPA and relevant FDA laws and regulations (certify completion where required)

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science related field, preferably with some medical education or training
  • 3 years working in a Medical Affairs environment, preferably within Oncology or Cardiovascular therapeutic areas
  • Knowledge of the MSL function demonstrated by previous experience or exposure as an MSL or in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, and other relevant software and platforms.

Estimated Travel: approximately 30%
