Why You Matter:

As an AWC Operator, you are an important member of a Fabrication Team that welds all the steel components which will be assembled in Lantech's Feeder Cells. AWC operators will be learning and working with a state-of-the-art welding robot that produces Lantech's Semi-Automatic stretch-wrapping machines. These machines contribute directly to the supply line that moves essential goods around the country and the rest of the world.

Here's a Glimpse at What you'll Do:

As an Automated Weld Cell Machine Operator at Lantech, you will:

• Load and unload parts into a fixture within an automated weld cell (AWC) ensuring proper placement.
• Evaluate and prep parts for loading.
• Inspect parts after welding to ensure the part meets quality standards.
• Load finished weldments onto paint carts/racks.
• Examine / clean fixtures between cycles to ensure proper fit and finished quality.
• Communicate cell problems, and part shortages and work with Team Leader to resolve them.
• Adhere to Standardized Work procedures.

What Are We Looking For? (Requirements)

We are looking for someone who:

• Is able to stand for 9.5 hours each day.
• Is able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Has manual dexterity to maneuver parts/equipment for welding.
• Is willing and able to work overtime as needed to complete projects and production deadlines.
• Is able to read and follow instructions in English (standardized work).
• Practices safe work habits as an individual and with co-workers.
• Adheres to guidelines related to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Is a team-oriented individual with good interaction/communication skills.
• Is detail-oriented and able to work effectively within a fast-paced production environment.
• Knows safety equipment and is aware of machine safety procedures
• Is able to pass a pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
• Is willing and able to work overtime to complete projects and/or meet scheduling deadlines.
• Is legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Education & Experience:

• A production background is strongly preferred.
• Machine operation experience is a plus.
• Previous welding experience is a plus.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required (Vocational/trade school training as well is preferred).
