The Lansing School District serves over 10,000 PreK-12 students across 25 school buildings in the increasingly diverse urban community of Lansing, MI. In pursuit of this mission, we are hiring a Lead Teacher for GSRP at Post Oak. This individual will ensure our GSRP (Great Start Readiness Program) students receive world-class instruction in all content areas. Our teachers must also work to build safe, nurturing classrooms where students can be themselves and work collaboratively towards common learning goals. Teachers will work alongside other teachers, parents, and students to ensure they are providing the best education experience to all students.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate with early childhood endorsement (ZA, ZS, or ZN)
• Michigan Child Care background check (can be conducted by Lansing School District if you do not possess currently)
• Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese

• Previous successful GSRP teaching experience in urban setting

• Demonstrate passion for and expertise of early childhood content areas
• Provide world-class instruction in literacy, math, and other content areas to early childhood students
• Use data to guide and effectively differentiate instruction
• Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions
• Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment
• Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission
