Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Interpreter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to interpret ENGLISH and CHINESE languages in a professional setting. Location is South Beach Addiction Center 777 Seaview Avenue – Staten Island NY 10305

From 9 to 2pm Monday to Friday

THIS IS AN IN PESON ASSIGNMENT. NO REMOTE INTERPRETERS PLEASE. LOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY. MANDARIN CHINESE SPEAKERS ONLY.

Duties:

- Provide accurate interpretation services in a variety of settings such as hospitals, child protective services, and other relevant environments.
- Review and interpret documentation as needed.
- Communicate effectively between individuals who speak different languages.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology when interpreting in healthcare settings.
- Interpret American Sign Language when necessary.
- Assist in bilingual communication between parties.

Skills:

- Proficient in multiple languages, with a focus on medical terminology and child protective services jargon.
- Ability to interpret accurately and efficiently in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication skills to convey messages clearly and effectively.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
- Multilingual capabilities to cater to diverse language needs.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
