Langley Children' s Center (LCC) is an employer-sponsored and NAEYC-accredited early learning program for children from 12 weeks to 5 years of age. LCC is open from 7AM to 6PM, Monday through Friday and year-round.

We are seeking a Teacher to work with our transitional 3s group (2.8-3.2 years). In September, this is a group of 12 children with 3 full-time teachers. The ideal candidate has a deep knowledge of early childhood development and a passion for working with young 3-year-olds. Additionally, this individual understands play and child-inquiry and knows how to collaborate with co-teachers in the development of a daily emergent curriculum based on child observations.

This is a "closer position" and the person must be able to work 8:30-5:30 or 9:00-6:00, as needed.

Requirements:

• US Citizenship. Green card holders are not eligible for hire.
• Current CDA-Specialization Preschool desired or higher education degree (Child development, Child & Family Studies, Early Childhood Education/Special Education, or Elementary Education
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in group care with 3-year-olds.
• Experience writing anecdotal observations of children's development and learning.
• Warmth, sensitivity and responsiveness to a child's emotional needs; experience effectively managing individual and group behaviors.
• Strong verbal and written communication and able to collaborate with co-teachers.
• A continual learner and open to receiving constructive feedback.
• Able to safely lift a minimum of 40 pounds.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
